The Salt Boys is a local water softener salt delivery service based in Excelsior, Minnesota, serving homeowners across Excelsior and the surrounding communities. We deliver premium 40-pound bags of water softener salt straight to your door — and, on request, carry them to your softener and refill the tank at no extra charge.

Our catalog spans three categories: pellets (yellow bags), crystals (blue bags), and specialty formulations (green bags) including rust removers and iron fighters. Buy ten or more bags of any single variety and the per-bag price drops automatically, rewarding bulk orders for larger households or neighbors splitting a delivery.

Every order lands on a single, predictable day: deliveries are made between 10AM and 2PM on the upcoming Saturday, so you always know when to expect us. Pay ahead with Venmo or with cash at the time of delivery — whichever is easiest for you.

Salt Boys is built and operated by William and Jack Befort, two local teens and the sons of David Befort, who started the service to spare his neighbors the hassle of hauling 40-pound bags home from the hardware store. What began as a favor to a few neighbors has grown into a reliable Saturday route across the Lake Minnetonka area.
